Awesome Tips To Make Wedding Planning Easy
The Important Extras! On Jun 09th, 2015 917 0
You’ve decided to get married and now it’s the stressful point of the relationship where you need to plan the big day. First it seems like picking the right date is hard, but then you realise you need to find a venue, plan a guest list, and as you just go through the list of things you’ll need to do you start to wonder if this wedding will ever happen.
The first thing to remember is not to stress. This wedding is about you and him, not everyone else. If you’re happy with a rustic get together in your own backyard, that’s what you need to do.
If a huge wedding is what you’ve dreamed of, where you stay in some beautiful locale and are surrounded by hundreds of friends and family, you will pull it off. You just need to stay calm and focused.
Here are some awesome tips that will help you keep calm and plan your dream wedding, you matter how big or small your dream is!
Start With Guest List
Since this isn’t a step-by-step guide, let’s assume you already bought your ring, picked out your dress, and decided who was standing with you. Now let’s get to who all is going to be invited.
An easier wedding plan is going to have a shorter guest list, but if you want a large wedding it’s your day and you can do what you want. Once you’ve come up with who’s invited you’ll deal with invitations and such at some point, but first you need to decide when and where.
Then Do Your Venue Search
Before you even set a prospective date, start looking into where you want to have your wedding. Even if you want to have it in your own backyard you will still need to make sure your chosen wedding officiant is available before setting that date.
Your decisions will include whether or not you want to rent a place to have your wedding, and how luxurious you want it to be. You may want to have a fancy resort wedding with all the hoopla of a celebrity shindig. If this is the case you’ll need to find out when space is available to be reserved.
After you have available dates locked down you can decide when to have your nuptials. Then you’ll get your invites together.
Do Some Of It DIY
You should have a budget set for your wedding ahead of time, especially if you are doing it out of your own pocket. One way to save some money on your budget is to do a little DIY wedding planning.
This may seem like added work, but it also may make you feel like you’ve invested even more into this labor of love. Plus, you can probably easily rope in friends and family to help. However, don’t hire them to help, let it be your thing. You don’t want to turn into bridezilla because someone took over your wedding. Delegate.
Weddings don’t have to be stressful. You should be looking forward to the day rather than dreading all the work leading up to it. Take your time, make plans, and make it everything you want it to be!
