You should have a budget set for your wedding ahead of time, especially if you are doing it out of your own pocket. One way to save some money on your budget is to do a little DIY wedding planning.
 
This may seem like added work, but it also may make you feel like you’ve invested even more into this labor of love. Plus, you can probably easily rope in friends and family to help. However, don’t hire them to help, let it be your thing. You don’t want to turn into bridezilla because someone took over your wedding. Delegate.
