Our wedding in Market Harborough by Nina Green

The Venue On Jan 29th, 2018 2238 0

It was our big day, and it couldn’t have gone any better. I was excited and nervous as everyone was getting seated. I was just busy making sure that I didn’t have lipstick on my teeth while I waited to make my way down the aisle as bride.

Eli and I were married in Market Harborough in the United Kingdom at a venue called Hothorpe Hall. It was a summer wedding. I was so excited that the entire day wasn’t completely ruined by rain. It wasn’t unbearably hot, either. Thank goodness because the wedding was taking place in the Woodlands outside. We had a plan to go inside in case it rained, but I’m happy it didn’t. The venue was more than I could have ever asked for. It’s an interesting combination of wood and glass that made me pick this as the definite venue. There was something both rustic and modern about the Woodlands that attracted me to it.

It was secluded, and we had the beauty of everything to ourselves. I walked through the empty seats while the decorations were being put up knowing that I could focus on getting ready, because everything was going to be perfect.

Getting ready for the wedding

I got ready on the grounds with my bridesmaids. I drank two glasses of champagne while my hair and makeup was being done to calm my nerves.

I don’t think I’ve ever been happier in my whole life as compared to when I saw Eli at the front of the venue while I was walking down the aisle. I was so pleased with Lee Glasgow Wedding Photography for capturing that moment for me. I will have that picture of me looking at Eli for the rest of my life. They also caught the most beautiful picture of my father and I looking at each other smiling while walking down the aisle as well.

The pictures were great all night. The entire wedding proceedings were gorgeous, but the best pictures came from the reception!

Opening up the dance floor and enjoying the food

People put on their dancing shoes and enjoyed the hog roast that we got from The Roasting Pig. We had a beautiful luau that was perfect for a summer wedding. The guests couldn’t get enough of it, and people didn’t even mind getting a picture eating or with the roasting pig.

It was the most wonderful day of my life. I can only wish everyone else the same.
